Posted 1 year ago by sobal in response to avatar jasmine's question: Does Azerbaijan has a national reserve? I've heard they protect endangered species from the Caucasians. Is it true? (give a different answer) .

You heard right! There's the Gey Gel national reserve from Baku, located on 40 Hajibayov St, which includes many rivers and mountain lakes along with the unique Gey-Gel Lake, which is considered the biggest and the most beautiful in Azerbaijan.
The fauna of the reserve is represented by many species of animals and birds. 50 species of birds nest here and some of them are enlisted in the Red Book of Azerbaijan. Among the mammals you can find here dare, Caucasian gabion, plow, badger, stone marten which are under the danger of disappearance.
